Your Home on the Water:
The Danube Delta Floating Hotel
A 4-star ship designed for nature exploration — combining the freedom of a river cruise with the comfort of a proper hotel. 10 cabins, panoramic dining salon, sun deck, professional crew.
Why a Floating Hotel — Not a Kayak or Day Trip
The Danube Delta has 5,050 km² of protected wilderness. To truly experience it, you need to sleep inside it.
Dawn & Dusk Access
The best wildlife moments happen at 5:30 AM and 7:00 PM. Day visitors miss both. You wake up already inside the delta.
Deep Delta Access
Our floating hotel reaches remote channels inaccessible to larger vessels. We anchor where day boats never go.
Comfort After Adventure
Private bathroom, hot shower, proper bed. After a full day on a motorboat, you deserve more than a tent.
Full Board Included
Every meal prepared on board — traditional Romanian recipes, fresh fish, vegetarian options. No restaurant hunting in the delta.
Expert Guide Onboard
Your naturalist guide lives on the ship. Questions answered at dinner, spontaneous excursions when conditions are perfect.
Mosquito-Proof
Every cabin window has mosquito screens. The delta is a paradise — but mosquitoes are real. We've solved that for you.
The Ship — What's On Board
🛏 Cabins
10 double cabins with private en-suite bathroom (shower + WC). Compact but comfortable — mosquito-screened windows, adequate storage. All cabins have natural light.
🪟 Panoramic Salon
The main dining and social area. Large windows for excellent visibility while the boat is moving. This is where meals, briefings and evening relaxation happen.
☀️ Two Terraces
A covered terrace at salon level for shade, and an open upper sun deck — the best spot for wildlife spotting and photography while navigating.
⛵ Motorboat
Our dedicated excursion motorboat carries the whole group. Flat deck with comfortable seats, onboard toilet — a major advantage over small rowing boats. Stable enough to move around freely.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the floating hotel really a hotel or more like a boat?
It's genuinely a hotel on water — 4-star classified, with 10 private double cabins each having their own en-suite bathroom (shower + WC). The main salon has full restaurant service. It's significantly more comfortable than most barge-style river boats.
How do we get around the delta? Just on the big ship?
The floating hotel navigates the main channels. For detailed exploration — the small canals, reed beds and hidden lakes — you use our dedicated motorboat. Both are included in the price.
Do I need to be a birdwatcher to enjoy this?
Absolutely not. Many guests come simply for the landscapes, the peace, and the unique experience of sleeping in the middle of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The wildlife is just a bonus.
What are the cabins like — are they comfortable?
The cabins are compact but well-equipped: double bed, private bathroom with hot shower, storage, mosquito-screened windows. Think of them as a good 4-star hotel room in a smaller footprint. Not a luxury yacht — but genuinely comfortable.
Can I book a single cabin?
The base price is for a place in a double cabin (shared with one other person). Single occupancy supplement is available on request — contact us at rezervari@ibistours.ro for pricing.
Where does the cruise start and how do I get to Tulcea?
Embarkation is at Incinta Tulco in Tulcea (end of the Danube promenade). You can reach Tulcea by car on DN22A, by bus from Bucharest (3.5 hours), or by train. Paid parking is available at the embarkation point (25 RON/day).
What is the group size?
Maximum 20 guests per departure. Departures are confirmed with a minimum of 9 persons.
What is and isn't included in the price?
Included: double cabin, full board (all meals), all motorboat excursions, professional guide, Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve permit, still water.
Not included: alcoholic and soft drinks, Letea Forest cart transport + entry fee (50 RON/person payable on site), parking in Tulcea.
